Spring Reminders
Posted on Feb 20th, 2024

Burberry Place Residents

Spring is once again around the corner and it’s time for some reminders. The following are covenants most often violated in Burberry Place.

Trash Cans and Rubbish:  Trash and rubbish should be kept in trash containers stored from public view or on the SIDE of the home (not on the driveway or corner of the home in front of brick). Please do not pile trash/rubbish on the side of or around your home. Owasso has a convenient recycle center located at 499 S. Main, Owasso OK, where rubbish can be taken if it won’t fit in your trash receptacle. Free 24-hour recycling includes Number 1, 2, or 5 plastics, cardboard, paper/paper board, and glass. The Disposal Station can be accessed for aluminum beverage cans, cooking oil, used motor oil, and scrap metal and is open Tuesday through Friday 10:30 am-5:30 pm and Saturday 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Other items can be dumped for a small fee during those times as well. More detailed information for recycling, yard waste collection, Tulsa Mulch Site, Metropolitan Environmental Trust, and Tulsa Household Pollutant Collection Facility can be found at cityofowasso.com. Once on the City of Owasso website, click on Menu in the upper left corner, click on Community, scroll down, and click on Trash Collection & Recycling Information, then open Owasso Recycling Center and Disposal Station.

Lot Maintenance:  Keep lot free from rubbish, litter, and noxious weeds. Maintain structures, landscaping, and improvements in good repair at all times.  Keep yard equipment screened from view.  Lots and easements shall be kept clean, neat, and mowed to the street. Please keep grass edged from sidewalks and grass clippings off sidewalks and streets.  Keep volunteer trees/shrubs removed from around the foundation of your home, from around your utility meters, and out of landscaped bushes/hedges and fence lines to maintain the integrity of your fences and property. Volunteer trees that are allowed to grow in and against fence lines or around your home’s foundation and utility meters will destroy the fence, and cause damage to your foundation and eventually the eaves, fascia, and roof of your home. Decorative trees and other shrubs should be neatly maintained from hitting your home as well.

Fences:  Repair round wood fence posts that are leaning, repair torn metal fences, repair leaning wood picket fences, and replace broken wooden pickets.

Parking/Storage of Vehicles:  Parking on the street is reserved for guests and visitors. Owner’s vehicles (or vehicles under their dominion and control) shall not be parked or stored in any street, nor in any other manner that impairs or impedes sidewalk use or other public access. Our neighborhood streets are not wide enough, especially when vehicles are parked directly across from each other, to allow school buses and emergency vehicles passage. Inoperable vehicles shall not be kept, parked, or stored on your lot.

Burberry Place HOA approval is needed for changes or alterations to the home exterior or lot, including exterior paint color, roofing, wind generators/solar collectors, major landscaping changes, and fencing. There is an approved exterior paint color list on BurberryplaceHOA.com. If you are contemplating a color not on this list, you must provide color information to the HOA for approval before painting. If roofing needs to be replaced it is to be Heritage II or comparable composite shingles of equal or better quality.

You can review all Burberry Place HOA Covenant, Conditions, and Restrictions on burberryplacehoa.com under Documents then Covenants. Burberry Place HOA has been very lenient in follow-ups for violations, giving ample time for correction before reaching the third violation and fine process. Going forward our violation policy schedule will be followed more closely. You can view the violation enforcement policy on  burberryplacehoa.com under BBHOA Policies.

Our next HOA meeting will be scheduled for a date in March so planning for pool landscape cleanup can begin.   The annual meeting for voting on your HOA Board Officers will be scheduled for April.   Please try to attend these meetings so we can come together to maintain and improve our neighborhood.  The more residents involved will make keeping our neighborhood safe and clean easier on everyone. Meeting times will be posted to Burberryplacehoa.com. Watch for the sign at the front of our neighborhood as an alert to check the website.  All Burberry Place residents are welcome to attend and participate. Only homeowners are eligible to vote on any policy changes. Remember, our HOA belongs to every homeowner and it is important to be involved and give your thoughts on what is best for our neighborhood.

Thank you.
